Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking a Senior Accountant in Birmingham, AL to maintain accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance. You will handle general ledger, bank reconciliations, balance sheet prep, and support system improvements to enhance data integrity.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams for budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience and a CPA or CPA-eligible status

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and full cycle accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting operations including general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Perform monthly entries and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (fixed assets, leases).
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports with GAAP compliance.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Assist with audits and internal control improvements.
