Job summary

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is seeking an Assistant Director of General Ledger to develop and maintain GAAP accounting principles and lead the General Ledger team in monthly close and financial reporting.

You will oversee journal entries, reconciliations, internal reporting, and coordination with Finance leadership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely results in a fast-paced luxury resort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting.
• Five years of accounting experience with at least two in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong grasp of U.S. GAAP accounting, General Ledger practices, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own processes necessary to generate accurate and timely monthly financial statements and manage the month-end close process.
• Review journal entries and maintain balance sheet schedules and ledgers.
• Maintain high standards for GAAP accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and related processes.
• Prepare internal reporting package including variance analysis and financial results.
• Lead projects or analyses assigned by Accounting/Finance leadership.
• Enforce internal accounting control standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with accounting team to prepare regulatory reports.
• Provide leadership on financing transactions and resolve GAAP/technical accounting issues.
• Foster a work environment aligned with core values and staff development.
