Job summary

East Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX, seeks a GA - Research: HHP to assist faculty on ongoing and proposed projects within the Health & Human Performance Department. You will help with literature reviews, data entry, data compilation, and preparing conference presentations.

This role also involves manuscript preparation and submission processes. As a Graduate Assistant, you may work up to 20 hours per week, may assist in grant proposal development, and will gain experience across research

Qualifications

  • Be fully admitted to a graduate program (not provisional or non-degree).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required for consideration.
  • Must be enrolled in courses each term of the assistantship.
  • Non-native English speakers must demonstrate language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for completion of research projects within the Department.
  • Assist current faculty with literature review, data entry, and data compilation.
  • Assist faculty with presentations at national conferences as needed.
  • Attend research presentations as required.
  • Assist faculty with development of manuscripts for submission to journals.
  • Assist with electronic or mail submission of research articles.
  • Assist with research grant proposal development.

Skills and areas of development that will be achieved through the role of this position (ex: customer service, time management, communication, specific field knowledge).* **Job Description** **Major/Essential Duties of Job:** + Provide support for the completion of research projects within the Department. + Assist current full-time faculty with literature review, data entry, and data compilation as required. + Assist faculty with the preparation of presentations at national conferences as needed. + Attend research presentations as required. + Assist faculty with the development of manuscripts suitable for submission to research journals. + Assist faculty with the electronic or mail submission of research articles. + Assist with research grant proposal development and proposal. **Occasional Duties:** Other duties as assigned.All positions are security-sensitive.
