Job summary

Luster National, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector II to support transportation projects in Georgia. You will conduct complex inspections, assist engineers, and ensure conformance to plans and specs on highway construction. Training is provided to obtain required GDOT certifications.

The role is long-term, full-time, onsite with duties spanning field inspection, documentation, and coordination with other teams. Strong communication and math skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of progressive transportation technician experience with a State Highway Agency or equivalent.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction.
• Knowledge of mathematics including geometry and trigonometry.
• Drafting skills and use of office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform project engineering duties on smaller construction projects when needed.
• Conduct independent inspections of roadways and structures for compliance with contracts and specs.
• Supervise inspectors on routine inspections and coordinate field activities.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete for materials, mix quality, and pavement conditions.
• Perform field measurements of pay items and document results.
• Participate in meetings and plan reviews, CPM schedule reviews, and project close-out tasks.
