Job summary

VT Industries, Inc. in the United States is seeking a department supervisor to coordinate team schedules, ensure safe and efficient operations, and drive continuous improvement within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work rotation and break schedules for department team members.
• Ensure equipment is in safe and working order at all times including any necessary troubleshooting.
• Process necessary paperwork.
• Drive quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Promote 5S and Lean to the fullest extent.
• Hold daily team meetings at the start of shift in absence of supervisor.
• Complete a daily written and verbal handoff with counterpart.
• Assist in GEMBA walks in Department Manager’s absence.
• Other management tasks in Department Manager’s absence.
• Complete charts and MDI boards when needed.
• Understand and drive flow monitor.
• Conduct daily Standard Work audits with the supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned by Department Manager.
