Job summary

Citi Japan seeks a Senior Vice President to lead FX Operations across Japan Markets Operations, owning trade settlement, risk control, regulatory compliance, and team leadership within Citi's global Operations – Transaction Services. The role collaborates with trading desks, treasury and IT to drive efficiency and ensure high standards of control.

It also includes senior oversight of Large Payments Control, supporting risk reduction strategies and daily payment dispositions.

Qualifications

10+ years in FX operations or related risk management at senior level.
Subject matter expertise in FX or securities operations (settlement, risk, or compliance).
Strong knowledge of Markets Operations, payments/movement of funds controls.

Responsibilities

Direct end-to-end FX operations in Japan Markets Operations, including trade capture, confirmation, matching, and settlement across instruments.
Manage multi-currency payment and settlement flows, coordinating with counterparties and internal teams.
Monitor operational risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Lead and develop FX operations team, partner with front office and treasury.
Own Large Payments Control and contribute to risk reduction strategy.
