Job summary

RBC Capital Markets, LLC seeks a Director-level Product Owner for FX and Money Markets Operations in New York. You will shape the client-facing FX platform, translate regulatory needs into technical solutions, and drive efficiency, automation, and risk reduction across settlements.

You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee platform modernization, ensure compliance with evolving regulations, and collaborate with front-office stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and enterprise-wide

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in capital markets operations.
• Proven track record leading operational transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of trade settlement, clearing mechanics, payments, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience navigating technology transitions and operational readiness for major market infrastructure changes.
• Exceptional leadership and communication across large, diverse, matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive a modern FX and Money Markets global operations platform and manage the product backlog; collaborate across teams to implement features supporting trade lifecycle, risk mitigation, and compliance
• Develop and implement efficient processes aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements; design solutions optimizing FX and Money Markets processing across multiple venues and asset types
• Establish and track KPIs and SLAs for settlement volumes, cycle times, exception rates, and efficiency; conduct root-cause analysis of settlement failures
• Assess emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, real-time settlement) for adoption and platform upgrades
• Collaborate with front-office, middle-office risk, compliance to streamline processes; serve as escalation point for complex problems
• Build and manage relationships with external infrastructure providers; deliver reporting on settlement metrics and regulatory compliance
• Stay updated on regulations; ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; manage examinations and audits
• Serve as SME on FX and Money Markets operations; advise teams; lead projects like FX Modernization and settlement upgrades
