Job summary

Pacific Opportunity Hub at Pacific University is seeking a Reading Assistant to work with elementary-level students at Harvey Clarke Elementary (Forest Grove, OR). The role supports teachers by reading with students and tracking fluency progress, with flexible part-time hours between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, 6-10 hours per week.

Open only to current Pacific University students, the position offers a wage of $16.80 per hour and is based off-campus in Forest Grove.

Qualifications

• Interest in elementary education, specifically grades kindergarten - fourth grade.
• Ability to engage students with reading and/or math.
• Effectively communicate with teaching staff and students.
• Work independently with given tasks and instructions.
