Job summary

Slaton ISD invites applications for a Future Teacher. The successful candidate will provide instruction in the core subject, develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum, and employ varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

The position is 10 months, with compensation commensurate with experience and the district salary schedule. Immediate starting date; reports to the Building Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
• Special knowledge of core subject and curriculum; ability to instruct and manage behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with learning activities and experiences in the assigned core subject to support growth.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum.

Position Summary

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district’s curriculum program. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.

Position Requirement

• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
