Job summary

Merck's Future Talent Program offers a 4–6 month co-op with hands-on projects in our Research division. Co-ops will join state-of-the-art laboratories in Rahway, NJ; West Point, PA; Boston, MA; and South San Francisco, CA to develop analytical methodologies affecting drug substance and product development.

Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD program in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering or related fields, with strong academic performance

Qualifications

• Enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Co-op duration is 4–6 months, starting early to mid-2027.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Must be available to work full-time for 4–6 months.
• Must have completed at least 2 years of studies toward a bachelor's by June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Work on one or more analytical projects in a team environment.
• Record experimental details in electronic notebooks accurately.
• Analyze and interpret data for internal or external publications.
• Present research results orally and in writing.
