Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Manager Trainee Spring 2027 in San Antonio to learn the management of a driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, while ensuring safe, timely freight movement.

You will be trained to handle payroll, Net-Revenue budgeting, and driver performance, with emphasis on DOT compliance and strong customer service. This role offers hands-on experience in planning, routing, and operational reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1 year of management/ops experience with HS diploma.
• Experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, or account management is relevant.
• Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safe outside carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Learn payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting duties relevant to operations.
• Plan loads, route, and monitor freight movement to meet on-time delivery and customer requirements.
