Job summary

You will assist in hiring, training and supervising staff, ensure in-stock targets, maintain safety and cash controls, and deliver excellent customer service. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train qualified applicants.
• Familiarity with cash handling, deposits and loss prevention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and storage of merchandise; ensure proper presentation and pricing.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management (damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork, controls).
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Operate store in store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends, opportunities, and issues.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
