Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to apply automotive and customer service expertise to operate a NAPA retail store and lead the team to be the market’s dominant parts supplier. This role supports the Store Manager across all store functions, while maintaining direct, customer-facing sales responsibilities and mentoring staff.

The position involves overseeing counter sales, inventory/receiving, delivery coordination, housekeeping, and other tasks to ensure standards,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or technical/trade school completion.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn all things automotive.
• Leadership experience and ability to coach others.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Experience in a parts store or retail management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, and scheduling.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels (in-store, phone, dealer calls).
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Oversee opening and closing routines including security and cash reconciliation.
• Handle or assist with administrative tasks and performance tracking.
