Job summary

Module X Solutions, a growing modular manufacturing company in Shreveport, seeks a General Laborer Skid for full-time work across electrical, welding, casting, painting, and material handling. You will support the assembly of modular units and solar power conversion skids with a dedicated team in a busy shop environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year manufacturing or construction experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read a tape measure.

• Work Experience: 1+ years of manufacturing or construction experience
• Education: Highschool diploma/ GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products according to department needs.
• Assist with manufacturing modular units and solar power conversion skids with team members.
• Support electrical, welding, casting, painting, material handling and other areas as assigned.
• Utilize broad construction skills for various building processes.
• Assist with inventory and/or materials for production.
• Transport materials and equipment by hand or with forklift, pallet jacks, and dollies.
• Cut 500 wire off spoils to length per customer specification.
• Organize and palletize cuts of wire.
• Unbox or unpack transformers and inverters.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. Responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of modular units and solar power conversion skids with other team members in the following departments: electrical, welding, casting, painting, material handling and others as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizes broad construction skills for various building processes
• Assists with inventory and/or materials for production
• Transports material and equipment by hand or use of forklift, pallet jacks, and dollies
• Cuts 500 wire off spoils to length per customer specification
• Organizes and palletize cuts of wire
• Unboxing or unpackaging transformers and inverters
• Maintain clean and efficient workspace in warehouse or production floor
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience: 1+ years of manufacturing or construction experience

Education: Highschool diploma/ GED or equivalent

Related Experience

• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks; keep up in a fast-paced environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
