Job summary

Cheba Hut Fayetteville on College Ave is hiring a part-time Crew Member to join our fast-paced team. You’ll help craft food, deliver friendly service at the register and lobby, and support daily operations with a focus on guest experience.

No prior restaurant experience required; training is paid. You’ll learn Cheba Hut’s playful, non-traditional “Toasted” culture, follow safety standards, and work with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Food handling certification required (we’ll help you certify).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable lifting up to 47 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests with authentic, friendly interactions.
• Take orders, ring up sales, and process payments accurately.
• Prepare and assemble menu items following SOPs.
• Maintain clean front-of-house and station areas.
• Assist with opening/closing duties as needed.

As a Crew Member, you’ll craft great food, create positive interactions, and support strong Shoperations every shift.

What You’ll Own:

• Guest Experience & Interaction
• Deliver authentic, genuine interactions

• Make confident menu recommendations
• Provide fast, friendly service at the register, line, and lobby
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately

• Maintain strong situational awareness — keep your head on a swivel
• Clean as you go — never leave a mess behind
• Perform opening, closing, and shift duties consistently
• Maintain clean front-of-house and back-of-house areas
• Follow all employee health and safety policies

What Makes You a Fit:

Compensation: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Cheba Hut is a “Toasted” sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998. Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and … well, a very specific counter‑culture. The menu features signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads, and munchies. Most locations also offer bars featuring local beers from neighborhood breweries and a variety of Cottonmouth Cures.

What really sets Cheba Hut apart, though, can only be experienced in our shops. We combine homegrown food with real people in a relaxed environment. Escape the established.
