Job summary

General Motors is seeking a UX/Industrial Design professional to shape future vehicle experiences through concept visuals, animations, and immersive design strategies. You will frame visions for in-vehicle interactions, blending 2D illustrations with 3D models and storytelling to inform product directions.

You will collaborate with design, research, engineering, and product teams, delivering high‑quality assets and future‑focused UX concepts for GM’s mobility initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, UX Design, or related fields.
• Proven ability in 2D sketching/rendering, 3D conceptual modeling, animation, and presentation visualization.
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating versatile visualization and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a collaborative process informed by societal, tech, policy, and sustainability trends.
• Identify disruptors that could reshape vehicle transportation and mobility ecosystems.
• Participate in iterative design solving using existing and emerging technologies.
• Create future-facing visions defining customer value, vehicle attributes, and features.
• Envision advanced UX concepts with storyboards, flows, and visual storytelling.
• Produce concept visuals including 2D illustrations, UI explorations, 3D models, and animations.
• Deliver finished design assets ready for research, handoff, or implementation partners.
• Collaborate with design, research, engineering, product, and suppliers to influence decisions.
