Job summary

NFI is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Rincon, GA to groom high-potential Operations Managers for future General Manager roles. The role blends hands-on oversight with learning, shadowing, and leadership development at a Tier One customer site or multi-customer operation.

Responsibilities cover operations, financials, and employee development, with emphasis on strategic growth, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of overall experience managing large warehouse/distribution centers.
• Experience with warehouse operations and inventory control standards.
• Familiarity with OSHA/DOT/HAZMAT or FDA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn how a General Manager leads Managers and Supervisors to ensure operational procedures for shipments, inventory accuracy, and product disposition.
• Develop and manage facility strategy by shaping requirements, assessing deliverables, and using resources to eliminate process problems.
• Forecast labor needs based on sales, forecasts and historical data.
• Conduct workload vs. labor and equipment analysis.
