Job summary

Cumberland Farms is seeking a District Manager In Training (DMIT) to guide a team of Store Managers, drive operational excellence, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. The role requires leading a large area, developing leadership talent, and delivering profitability across locations.

Phase I–II training, including hands-on store operation exposure, aims to prepare you for future district leadership. This fast-paced role involves extensive travel and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School or GED.
• Preferred College degree in business or related field.
• Minimum 10 years retail experience including restaurant general management.
• Preferred 1-3 years multi-unit experience in c-store or restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Build a strategic plan for area including staffing, development and performance management of all team personnel.
• Oversee engagement and productivity across a wide network of locations.
• Demonstrate leadership by setting clear goals, accountability and effective communication.
• Develop a leadership team by hiring or promoting store management candidates and ensuring training and coaching.
• Analyze financial reports, P&L, expenses, labor costs and inventory to improve profitability.
• Conduct weekly store visits to ensure compliance with standards on store conditions and promotions.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and product quality while managing safety and security.
• Support DMITs with duties and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Region Manager.
