Job summary

Xcimer Energy is hiring a Department Manager to lead the infrastructure design and support systems engineering organization at our Denver headquarters. You will guide system-level design for laser, pulsed‑power, and facility operations, spanning design, integration, and commissioning.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, translate requirements into actionable plans, and ensure safety, reliability, and long‑term operability of facility assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil / Structural, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in facility engineering, infrastructure systems, or complex technical environments.
• Experience managing engineering teams for multi-disciplinary technical execution.
• Strong understanding of facility mechanical, electrical, structural, and control systems.
• Familiar with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, building codes, industrial facility best practices.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead the infrastructure design & support systems engineering organization and be responsible for delivering complex facility systems.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering team across design, integration, construction, and commissioning.
• Translate system‑level requirements into detailed design plans, technical specifications, and milestones.
• Ensure facility systems are designed for safety, manufacturability, constructability, reliability, and long‑term operation.
• Partner with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure build readiness and smooth design transfer into operations.
