This is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO.
As Department Manager, you will lead the infrastructure design & support systems engineering organization and be responsible for delivering complex facility systems that enable advanced laser, pulsed‑power, and industrial operations on the path to putting fusion energy on the grid. This role blends innovative design, technical leadership, cross‑functional coordination, and oversight of engineering execution across all phases of facility development.
You will manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, guide system‑level design and technical execution, develop department standards and ensure facility assets are engineered for safety, manufacturability, constructability, reliability, and long‑term operation. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, requiring the ability to orchestrate senior technical contributors while driving day‑to‑day progress across design, integration, construction, and commissioning.We are looking for a technical leader to apply their expertise in simulation, systems thinking, and organizational leadership to positively impact the future of energy!
