Helion Energy in Everett, WA, invites a motivated Electrical Engineering intern to contribute to fusion technology. You will design and fabricate analog and digital circuits, work on PCB design, and help develop in-house data acquisition systems to support ongoing innovation.

The role offers hands-on problem solving, mentorship from senior engineers, and exposure to high voltage systems in a state-of-the-art research environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Able to work full time onsite in Everett, WA for 12 consecutive weeks during summer 2027
• Experience with board layout and circuit simulation tools (KiCAD, LT Spice, Altium)
• Experience designing analog and digital circuits
• Ability to communicate design progress and blockers effectively
• Familiarity with high voltage safety and HV power supplies (1–10 KVDC)

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate analog and digital circuits

• Develop next-generation, in-house data acquisition systems
• Support troubleshooting of hardware on fusion generators
• Learn from experienced engineers and apply first-principles and method-based thinking
