Job summary

Helion seeks an Electrical Engineer intern in Everett, WA to design and fabricate analog/digital circuits, and to develop in-house data acquisition systems. The role offers hands-on problem solving and exposure to fusion hardware during a 12-week onsite summer period.

You will work with senior engineers to qualify designs, fix hardware issues, and learn from experts while applying first-principles thinking to challenging problems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience with board layout and circuit simulation tools.
• Experience designing analog and digital circuits.
• Ability to work onsite in Everett, WA for 12 weeks in Summer 2027.
• Capable of safe high-voltage work and understanding EM fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualification and testing plans on new or modified designs.
• Support senior electrical engineers in design updates and documentation.
• Fix hardware issues on integrated fusion generators.
• Learn from historical approaches, design novel hardware, and test solutions.
• Apply engineering first-principles and method-based thinking to problems.
• Learn from experts to expand your engineering skillset.
