Job summary

Type One Energy Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to create 3D models and drawings for our stellarator fusion technologies. You will translate design requirements into integrated configurations and coordinate with Engineers and Scientists across projects.

The role offers a hybrid work policy, collaboration with design, engineering and fabrication teams, and requires a BS/Associates in Engineering with 5 years CAD experience, preferably with Siemens NX.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BS in Engineering and 5 years of design related experience.
• Five years of experience using commercial CAD software, GD&T understanding.
• Preference for Siemens NX proficiency.
• Experience with fusion energy systems and equipment is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with technical peers and sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Translating mechanical design requirements into integrated 3D configuration models.
• Developing interfaces among stellarator systems and resolving conflicts.
• Developing accurate CAD models based on given specifications.
• Converting CAD models into technical drawings with fabrication callouts.
