Type One Energy Group is seeking a CAD Designer in the United States to help design and fabricate its stellarator fusion devices. You will translate requirements into 3D models and collaborate with engineers and scientists to integrate systems.

The role requires 5+ years of CAD experience, GD&T expertise, and Siemens NX proficiency. A engineering degree is requested, with a hybrid work policy and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BS in Engineering with 5 years design experience.
• 5 years experience using commercial CAD software and GD&T.
• Prefer proficiency using Siemens NX CAD software.
• Experience with fusion energy systems desirable.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, presentation, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Translate mechanical design requirements into integrated 3D configuration models.
• Develop interfaces between stellarator systems and resolve conflicts.
• Develop accurate CAD models based on specifications.
• Convert CAD models into technical drawings with fabrication callouts.
