Job summary

CORT Furniture Rental in Hayward, CA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to help with loading/unloading trucks, processing furniture, and ensuring items are rental-ready for delivery.

Applicants should be 18+, have reliable transportation, and be able to lift heavy items. Prior warehouse experience and forklift certification are preferred. We offer weekly pay, health insurance, 401(k) with match, paid training, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority consideration will be given to candidates with more and relevant experience.
• Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks for daily routes, ensuring no scratches or damage and correct item placement.
• Pull and stage furniture for the next day's deliveries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Clean, touch up, and repair furniture to ensure it is rental-ready.
• Maintain and clean the warehouse, including breaking down cardboard and dumping trash.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy, relocating products as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings, perform daily warm-ups, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist drivers on deliveries when needed.
• Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned.
