Job Description

We are currently seeking someone who is extremely detail-oriented and interested in learning how to make minor repairs and touch-ups to furniture pieces both in our warehouse and on-site with on-the-job training.

• Examine products for defects, determine the complexity of the problem, and whether or not repairs can be made in-house.
• Repair damaged furniture to new condition in the allotted time frame.
• Complete upholstery repair including mechanism replacement.
• Determine if the furniture is repairable or if it must be replaced.
• Track and maintain inventory and document movement of merchandise.
• Keep all hazardous chemicals properly labeled and stored according to government standards.
• Follow up on customer service requests and schedule in-home service appointments.
• Complete in-home repairs when necessary.
• Must maintain good attendance.
• Be able to lift over 50 pounds.
• Turn and twist at waist level with moderate waist level bending.
• Visually inspect and sort defective products.
• Positive, upbeat attitude.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull required weights.
• Ability to operate all hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to match colors and simulate wood grain.
• Operate scanning equipment preferred.
• Ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area and service truck.
