Job Description
We are currently seeking someone who is extremely detail-oriented and interested in learning how to make minor repairs and touch-ups to furniture pieces both in our warehouse and on-site with on-the-job training.
- Examine products for defects, determine the complexity of the problem, and whether or not repairs can be made in-house.
- Repair damaged furniture to new condition in the allotted time frame.
- Complete upholstery repair including mechanism replacement.
- Determine if the furniture is repairable or if it must be replaced.
- Track and maintain inventory and document movement of merchandise.
- Keep all hazardous chemicals properly labeled and stored according to government standards.
- Follow up on customer service requests and schedule in-home service appointments.
- Complete in-home repairs when necessary.
- Must maintain good attendance.
- Be able to lift over 50 pounds.
- Turn and twist at waist level with moderate waist level bending.
- Visually inspect and sort defective products.
- Positive, upbeat attitude.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required weights.
- Ability to operate all hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to match colors and simulate wood grain.
- Operate scanning equipment preferred.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area and service truck.
