Job summary

Intrepid Global Solutions is seeking a Furniture Coordinator to manage O&M repair/configuration that affects furniture moves. This role focuses on coordinating deliveries, vendor status, and workspace configurations under existing government processes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of general work experience, with a TS/SCI CI Poly eligible requirement and opportunity to contribute to government facilities operations.

• General work experience for 24 months or more.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external vendors to schedule furniture deliveries and oversee them.
• Work with Logistics on status updates for furniture POs in Government systems.
• Coordinate with furniture vendor reps to deliver furniture to customer workspaces.
• Interface with customers to understand minor renovation requirements affecting furniture movement and configuration.
• Coordinate with IT to disconnect/reconnect connections related to furniture moves.
• Provide technical counsel about vendor scope and alert Government to issues needing decision.

Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services. As the Furniture Coordinator you will focus on O&M repair/ configuration that affects furniture moves and configurations. O&M repair/ configurations involving the movement of furniture will fall under the scope of already established offices. The scope of work will not include new office fit-ups or major office renovation project.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate with external vendors to schedule furniture deliveries, oversee deliveries, and assist the Government in ensuring the furniture is in good condition.
• Coordinating with the Logistics team for status updates about furniture Purchase Orders processed through the Government systems (i.e., Genesis).
• Coordinating with the furniture vendor representative to ensure furniture delivery to the customer's workspace once received at the Government's loading dock.
• Interfacing with customers to understand their office renovation (minor) requirements which affect the movement and configuration of furniture.
• Interfacing and coordinating with IT components that may require their involvement (i.e., disconnect/reconnect connections) relating to furniture movement and configuration.
• Providing technical counsel, insight, and advice to the customer about the vendor's work scope.
• Alerting the Government to any issues that arise, which may require government decision and/or input.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in furniture assembly 24 months of general work experience
