Job summary

Intrepid Global Solutions is seeking a skilled maintenance carpenter to support DoD-related facilities across Virginia. You will plan from blueprints, measure precisely, and select materials to maintain woodwork and equipment including bins, counters and doors.

The role requires 5+ years in carpentry, certification may be required, and candidates with an active TS/SCI w/ CI poly clearance will be favored. This is an on-site position supporting complex facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience as a craft worker.
• Certification in assigned area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions using carpenter's tools.
• Use hand tools, portable power tools and measuring devices to complete carpentry tasks.
• Select materials and perform maintenance carpentry duties on woodwork and equipment.
• Maintain and repair building woodwork such as bins, counters, benches, doors and partitions.

Job Overview

As the Carpenter, you will perform the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors. Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
