Qualifications

• Experience with merchandise damage, freight claims, delivery issues, or missing parts preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel; ERP or claims management systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple open claims, and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned claims from initial submission through final resolution.
• Review photographs, order records, shipping documents, and delivery information to understand each issue.
• Work with Customer Service, Sales, Warehouse, Accounting, and International Purchasing to gather facts and coordinate resolutions.
• Coordinate repairs, replacement parts or merchandise, credits, refunds, and reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare documentation for freight claims and work with the Traffic Manager, who handles direct coordination with carriers.
• Maintain accurate claim records and consistently follow up on outstanding cases.
• Communicate claim status and next steps clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Identify recurring damage or product issues and share findings with management.
