Job summary

Havertys Furniture is seeking a Furniture Assembler for our Theodore, AL distribution team. Onsite, hands-on training starts day one to learn our standards for quality home goods and safe handling. Pay starts at $16.50 per hour, with more based on experience.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am to completion. You’ll unbox, inspect, assemble, and wrap merchandise and record assembly times. We offer comprehensive training, a 401K match, medical benefits, paid time off, daily pay program, and

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift.
• Pass criminal background check, lifting assessment, and drug test.
• Previous warehouse experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment to unbox, inspect, assemble, and wrap customer merchandise for shipment.
• Accurately record the assembly time of every SKU assembled during the day.
• Properly assemble knocked-down merchandise.
• Ensure the proper torque is applied to all nuts and bolts.
• Properly use air-powered tools.
• Gain understanding of productivity standards and time management skills.
