Job summary

Havertys Distribution Team is seeking energetic individuals for a furniture assembly role. Onsite training starts day one, focusing on quality handling, safety, and teamwork to deliver home goods with superior service.

The position carries a starting pay of $16.50 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule. You will work in a warehouse environment performing heavy lifting while contributing to a strong safety culture and daily productivity.

Qualifications

• Frequent manual handling of furniture in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs repeatedly.
• Experience with using hand tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment to unbox, inspect, assemble, and wrap customer merchandise for shipment.
• Accurately record the assembly time of every SKU assembled during the day.
• Properly assemble knocked-down merchandise and ensure proper handling of the merchandise.
• Ensure the proper torque is applied to all nuts and bolts and use air-powered tools.
• Learn productivity standards and time management, and inspect products for quality for delivery.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to completion.

This is a team-oriented environment that requires team members to assist with the prep and loading of furniture after assembly tasks are completed.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting: must wear proper uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable.
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to completion.

Physical Demands:

• Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
• You must have the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move furniture up to 150 pounds while loading and unloading trucks, utilize proper material handling techniques, and wrapping and unwrapping merchandise.
