Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton seeks a Furnace & Material Handling Operator (Metal Hauler) for our Allenton, WI location. The role transports metal and related materials to supply the foundry with molten metal, maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include transferring molten aluminum, segregating alloys, charging furnaces, and handling containers to die-cast machines. Forklift operation is a key skill, with a team-focused, detail-oriented approach required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
• Ability to read, listen, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must follow safety and quality management systems (QMS).

Responsibilities

• Transfer molten aluminum from breakdown furnace to holding furnace to maintain continuous production.
• Separate and segregate the different alloys to prevent mixing in furnace.
• Charge breakdown furnaces by safely adding ingot and scrap aluminum.
• Move containers to and from die-cast machines as directed.
• Operate spectrometer.
• Clean and maintain all melting and holding furnaces.
• Assist in managing and directing all operations in the furnace department.
• Load and unload trucks as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures related to safety, conduction, and manufacturing practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
