Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mason to join our team. In this role, you will remove and install refractory products in differente . You will use a combination of modern power tools and traditional hand tools. The ideal candidate has a proven track record as a skilled Mason and a love of the craft.

Responsibilities

Install Refractory products such as Refractory Plastic, Ram, Brick, Castable and Gunnite

Removal of refractory with chipping hammers and rivet busters

Use hand tools and power tools to perform basic construction tasks

Running gunite machinery during installation of refractory materials.

Perform stick welding of steel anchors.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

Train apprentices in masonry skills

Ability to Travel - Currently position would require some out-of-town travel as some of our customers are Out of State.

Qualifications

5 + years of bricklayer experience, residential and commercial

3+ years’ experience in construction projects. (Industrial construction is helpful) (Refractory knowledge and experience is extremely helpful, but not required).

Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts

Knowledge of building forms for masonry work (arches, lintels, ect.)

Previous experience as a Mason or in a similar position

Ability to adapt to multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality Certification or training in masonry is preferred

Ability to collaborate with other construction professionals

Strong attention to detail

Excellent hand-eye coordination

Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations

Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
