Job summary

Materion is hiring a Furnace Rebuild Operator in Elmore, OH. You will join a team that refurbishes furnaces, reading drawings and performing precision tasks to meet quality standards.

The role involves preventative and repair maintenance, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements while ensuring safe operations. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills, with experience in welding or fabrication preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read drawings and blueprints for close tolerance work.
• Broad knowledge of furnace materials and rebuild procedures.
• Welding, torching, and fabrication equipment experience is preferred.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude, with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely refurbish and maintain furnaces and related equipment.
• Work individually or with the Furnace Rebuild crew to complete tasks.
• Follow SOP/Quality Procedures to maintain material flow to customers.
• Plan, inspect, and perform preventative and/or repair maintenance.
• Report irregularities to lead operator or supervisor and assist with improvements.
