Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services including floral arrangements, chairs, caskets and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares service documents for funerals and cremations as directed by management.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or crematory operations as allowed by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multiline phone system, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter and scale.
• Run errands for flowers, supplies, documents, etc.
• Serves as an usher and may park cars or handle transportation requirements.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assist with visitations and funeral services, including setup and dressing remains.
• Greets clients entering the office and provides information and assistance.
