Carriage Services is seeking a Funeral Assistant to support Funeral Directors and location staff at Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. This part-time position requires compassionate, professional service to families and guests during visitation and memorial services.

The role emphasizes community engagement, empathy, and reliable communication to ensure comforting, well-organized experiences for client families and attendees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to participate in growing market share through personal community involvement.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Empathize with client families and guests and maintain tact in emotionally charged situations.
• Respond to client families' requests and guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively serves as an ambassador of the business in the community to build trust and loyalty.
• Greets and directs client families and guests at the funeral home.
• Escorts client families to the correct chapel or parlor for services.
• Directs visitors to the guest book and distributes memorialization materials as needed.
• Assists with serving the needs of client families and guests during visitation and memorialization events.
• Represents the business professionally with integrity and ethical conduct.
• Receives and places flowers in chapels or parlors.
• Prepares public spaces for scheduled services and related duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
