Job summary

Service Corporation International in Centennial, CO is hiring a Funeral Services Assistant to support funeral operations and assist the public with information on services and cremation options. The role includes setting up for services, managing documents, and coordinating with management to ensure smooth ceremonies.

You will assist with remains preparation, assist with transportation and usher duties, and provide compassionate, professional service to client families during visits, services,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or crematory operations as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, multi-line phone system, debit card, typing, postage, and media equipment.
• Runs errands for floral deliveries and supplies; ushers and may transport families.
• Drives Funeral Home vehicles for services and family transport; greets and assists visitors.

Other general duties include meeting the general public, answering questions and providing information on funeral and cremation information and other related topics, answering phones courteously and in a polite manner, assisting on funeral, memorial and other services or ceremonies as requested by funeral home clients and management.
