FUNERAL HOME EMPLOYER is seeking a compassionate Funeral Home Assistant to support directors during services, visitations, and transportation. This part-time, on-call role offers training and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit team.

Responsibilities include assisting with transports, set-up at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries, lifting up to 75 lbs, and working on-call as needed. Candidates should have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist funeral directors during services and visitations.
• Transport funeral vehicles locally and out of town.
• Assist with set-up at funeral homes, churches, cemeteries, and other gathering places.
• Perform errands (washing funeral vehicles, obtaining death certificates, etc.).
• Work on-call as the team grows.

This part-time, on-call position is ideal for retirees or individuals with backgrounds in law enforcement, firefighting, EMS, healthcare, or anyone with a heart for serving others. No prior funeral service experience is required. As the team grows, an on-call schedule will be made.

Positions Rquirements:

• Part-time position;on a call-in basis as needed
• Obtain a valid driver's license and an accident-free driving record
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs

A funeral home assistant will assist the funeral directors:

• Every candidate will be trained for this position
• Must be able-bodied, able to stand for long periods as needed; and at times do somewhat physically demanding work
• Will be working funerals and visitations in the funeral home, churches, other gathering places and cemeteries
• Responsible for transportation with funeral vehicles, both locally and out of town
• Other errands and side jobs as needed (i.e. washing funeral vehicles, picking up death certificates, etc)
• As the team grows, an on-call schedule will be made
