Job summary

Cremation Society of Virginia is seeking a compassionate, licensed Funeral Director to join our team in Richmond, VA. You will meet with families, coordinate arrangements, and handle administrative duties with care and professionalism.

We offer a generous compensation package with base salary plus bonus potential, robust health plans, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and career development opportunities. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited mortuary college is required.
• A valid State Funeral Director license is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus where not required for FD license.
• High level of compassion and integrity.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in computers and the ability to use technology while meeting with families.

• Meet with At-Need families in a professional, organized and caring manner.
• Making arrangements and performing administrative duties, including preparing documents, processing reports, answering phones, and performing other tasks as assigned.
