The University of Chicago is seeking a Development Coordinator to support the Medicine & Biological Sciences Development team. You will execute fundraising projects, coordinate donor cultivation programs, and assist visiting committees under supervision.

You will collaborate with colleagues to enhance participation, revenue, and engagement, manage event logistics, prepare correspondence, and generate reports from Phoenix to aid decision-making. Hybrid in Chicago, 37.5 hours weekly.

Formación

• College or university degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit management, alumni relations, marketing, public relations, or similar work.
• Experience with fundraising, contact management or other database software.
• Experience working with volunteers.
• Experience planning and executing events.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsabilidades

• Supports MBSD fundraising teams and executes diverse responsibilities.
• Facilitates, organizes, and executes fundraising activities to meet annual goals.
• Collaborates to increase participation, revenue, and engagement from prospects, donors, volunteers, faculty, and other constituents.
• Coordinates logistics of meetings, events, and staff meetings; supports event planning with vendors and campus colleagues.
• Composes and edits correspondence for internal and external audiences.
• Utilizes Phoenix to maintain data and fulfill queries/reports.
• Prepares gift allocation forms and forwards to gift processing.
• Collects data to support questions; drafts reports and presentations; develops team procedures.
• Plans activities of volunteer groups; recruits members and supports leadership.
• Drafts informational and marketing materials for assigned programs.
• Performs other related work.
