Job summary

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is seeking an Intern/Apprentice to support the fundraising department in donor stewardship, major gift activity, and communications.

You'll manage donor data, process donations, generate receipts, respond to inquiries, and assist with member benefits activation and donor newsletters. Located in Vienna, VA, this 12-week role is part-time with a 21-hour weekly cap.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and communication skills with interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Outstanding customer service, creativity, and initiative.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; Raiser's Edge helpful but not required.
• Eligibility for program: undergraduate/graduate or recent graduate statuses.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of Wolf Trap’s fundraising department and assist major gift strategies.
• Manage donor and prospect information in donor database and process donations.
• Prepare gift receipts and acknowledgements; respond to donor inquiries.
• Assist with member benefits activation and donor communications.
• Produce content for donor e-newsletters and members-only communications.
• Assist with filing and other special projects as needed.
