Job summary

The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region seeks a Development Associate to advance fundraising, donor stewardship, event coordination, and database management (CRM/Foundant/CSuite). This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the VP for Development and helps build an endowment for the region while strengthening our community.

You will collaborate across staff to expand giving, manage stewardship systems, coordinate major donor outreach, and support communications and annual reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with relevant office experience considered.
• 2+ years of experience in office administration, fundraising, event planning, donor relations, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
• Strong customer service orientation with a welcoming, professional demeanor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact) a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Vice President for Development to enhance stewardship initiatives and donor relationships.
• Collaborate with leadership to build the major donor pipeline.
• Assist with donor tracking and cultivation using the Foundation's CRM (Foundant/CSuite).
• Coordinate fundraising appeals, annual mailings, and special events.
• Enter and update donor records; generate mailing lists and reports.
