Rocket Close seeks a Funding Specialist to oversee the client funding process from initiation to completion, ensuring accurate disbursements and swift reconciliation. You will secure funds, uphold money-handling compliance, and collaborate across teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, pattern recognition, and trend analysis to prevent fraud while meeting service level agreements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a money-handling role with customer or client exposure.
• Ability to obtain/maintain state licenses if required.
• Proven ability to recognize patterns, resolve discrepancies, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Secure funds from relevant parties to resolve shortages.
• Maintain compliance with money-out processes, including training and background checks.
• Collaborate with multiple business units and conduct independent research to resolve issues.
• Investigate shortages/overages to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Meet deadlines in line with SLAs and ALTA Best Practices.
• Identify trends related to lenders or processes to drive improvements.
• Identify potential fraud risks and follow procedures to mitigate losses.
