Job summary

National Seating & Mobility is seeking a Funding Coordinator to coordinate the complete funding transaction cycle across the organization. You will gather documentation, verify benefits, and liaise with physicians, therapists, RTSs, and clients to secure timely funding approvals.

Based in the Chattanooga area, you will maintain strong office workflows, follow payer requirements, and ensure accurate records while delivering excellent service to clients and care teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in Complex Rehab Technology, Medical Billing, or Funding preferred.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage transaction cycle time from Ready to Process to Final Funding Approval.
• Obtain missing demographics and ensure client information is correct in the work order.
• Verify client benefits and communicate benefit information to client.
• Gather and review funding package documents (LMN, prescriptions, RTS info, price lists, forms).
• Communicate with Physicians, Therapists, RTSs and Clients to secure documentation.
• Communicate changes and escalations and collect needed information from branch personnel, referrals, physicians, therapists, RTSs, and clients.
• Investigate and update payer requirements in the UPD.
• Maintain communication with client throughout the process regarding financial responsibility.
• Follow up with payer sources to obtain timely authorization via the Funding Work Queue.
• Obtain approval for work order credit exceptions.
• Conduct pre-purchase quality assurance to ensure all approvals and requirements are met.
• Conduct pre-delivery verification to ensure all approvals and requirements are met prior to delivery.
• Coordinate with other funding areas and complete tasks in the Action Required queue.
• Perform related duties assigned by the Funding Manager or Funding Supervisor with professionalism.
• Complete continuing education requirements including NSM University courses.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
