Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Funding Advisor to help turn funding strategies into coordinated, high-quality client deliverables. You will mobilize project teams, develop legislative materials, and connect strategy with execution.

You’ll draft brochures, talking points, and testimony; support proposals and client research; mentor staff; and grow toward advisory leadership through hands-on management and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, planning, communications, finance, or related field with 10+ years municipal consulting experience.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the funding program and/or service area for which the position is leading.
• Experience leading public sector loan and/or grant administration.
• Knowledge of county or municipal finance, budgeting, and/or capital planning.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize the team to deliver coordinated funding strategies.
• Take meeting notes with clear action items and follow up.
• Guide development of legislative brochures, fact sheets, and one-pagers.
• Draft strategy plans, talking points, and testimony for funding and legislative efforts.
• Coordinate contributions from project teams and funding specialists to keep materials aligned.
• Draft and distribute internal communications on legislative developments and funding programs.
• Gather contributions from funding specialists to produce coordinated updates.
• Review and refine narratives to clearly communicate client priorities.
• Support business development through proposals and client research.
• Mentor team members and contribute to staff development as your role grows.
