Role Description

The Funding Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Dayton, OH, with flexibility for partial work from home. In this role, the specialist evaluates funding needs, researches appropriate funding sources, and prepares clear, persuasive proposals and supporting documentation. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing financial data, reviewing investment options, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to advance funding opportunities. The Funding Specialist will also maintain detailed records of funding activities, monitor deadlines, and communicate updates to clients and team members. This position involves regular collaboration with colleagues to refine funding strategies and enhance overall financial outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to assess financial data, evaluate funding options, and support data-driven recommendations.
• Experience with Funding activities, including identifying opportunities, preparing applications or proposals, and managing funding pipelines.
• Knowledge of Finance principles and practices relevant to budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Understanding of Investments, including basic portfolio concepts, risk considerations, and alignment with client objectives.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex information clearly and build trust with clients and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools; familiarity with CRM or project management software is an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing deadlines and multiple priorities.
