Job summary

Citi is seeking a skilled Business Analyst for Fund Services to help onboard, transform, and continuously optimize operational processes within Securities Services Operations. The role requires strong analytical skills to design, test, and validate complex client solutions across Product, Technology, Operations and external clients.

The candidate will engage in UAT planning and execution, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration, with a hybrid work arrangement in Poland.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of professional experience in Fund Services with knowledge of NAV calculation, validation and accounting cycles.
• Proven track record in Change Management or process improvement within a financial services setting.
• Direct experience with asset management clients on fund vehicles or Securities Services operations.
• Strong understanding of global financial markets, instruments and trade lifecycle operations.
• Knowledge of BABOK or IIBA certifications is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across seniority levels.
• Proficient in MS Visio, Power BI and SQL; strong English writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end business process analysis and design scalable, robust solutions for client requirements and operational needs.
• Deliver business requirements, testing strategies, test plans and oversee UAT.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations and external clients to align infrastructure with business goals.

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Analyst for Fund Accounting Services team to contribute to the onboarding, transformation, and continuous optimization of operational processes and workflows within the Securities Services Operations Change Department.

This critical role helps shape and drive strategic process and technology change across the Fund Accounting business. The position requires a robust analytical skill set to design, test, and validate complex solutions and services for our clients and operational teams. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and networking skills are essential to collaborate effectively across Product, Technology, Operations, and our external Clients.

What would you do as a Business Analyst?

• Perform detailed end-to-end business process analysis and design scalable, robust solutions in response to evolving client requirements and operational needs.

• Deliver comprehensive business requirements, formulate testing strategies, prepare test plans, and execute as well as oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Cooperate closely with internal stakeholders across Product, Technology, and Operations, as well as external clients, ensuring infrastructure alignment with strategic business goals.
• Take proactive actions targeted at identifying, assessing, and mitigating implementation, operational, and project risks.
• Challenge the status quo, displaying initiative and innovation in coming up with operational and technological solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis on common operational problems and manage ad-hoc client and business queries efficiently.
• Contribute to project plans by assessing resource requirements, dependencies, and execution timescales to ensure on-time delivery.
• Actively participate in departmental strategic planning, operational readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What do you need to become our Business Analyst?

• At least 3+ years of professional experience in Fund Services, with a sound understanding of financial markets operations and extensive practical knowledge of NAV calculation, validation, and accounting cycles.
• Proven track record as a Business Analyst within a Change Management unit or operational improvements area (e.g., Lean, Agile, process re-engineering programs).
• Direct experience working with asset management clients on a variety of investment fund vehicles (e.g., OEICs, Segregated Mandates, Mutual Funds) or Securities Services operations.
• Strong understanding of global financial markets, instrument types, and trade lifecycle operations.
• Understanding of the BABOK standard and/or relevant certifications (such as IIBA) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multiple seniority levels.
• Strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and structured problem‑solving capabilities.
• Working knowledge and proficiency in MS Visio, Power BI, and SQL is a definite asset.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
