Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational tasks for an assigned portfolio of venture capital and operating company clients.
• Track deliverables and deadlines across multiple clients, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
• Monitor a compliance calendar covering filing deadlines across jurisdictions, and track annual report/biennial submissions.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of corporate documents including entity formations, amendments and dissolutions.
• Work alongside vendors, registered agents and state agencies to keep client entities in good standing.
• Contribute to operational improvements and strategic projects as the team scales.

I'm partnering with a fast-growing consultancy that works with some of the most exciting venture capital firms in the market, supporting them across compliance, entity filings, vendor management and day-to-day client operations.

They're looking to hire a Fund Operations Coordinator to join their close-knit team. This one's flexible on background as they're just as open to someone very early in their career who wants to grow into accounting or financial analyst work, as they are to a more experienced operations or coordinator candidate looking to move into a high-growth area.

You'll begin by developing a strong foundation in client account management, compliance tracking and entity filings before the path forks depending on where you want to go: some people use this as a launchpad into an investment/associate-style track through internal training, while others grow into a senior strategic operations or COO-track role as the firm scales. Either way, you'll get exposure to every corner of how a venture capital firm and its portfolio companies stay compliant and run smoothly, with the chance to learn directly from experienced professionals in the space.

What you'll be doing:

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree (any discipline; Business or Finance is a plus).
• Experience looking to build toward accounting/financial analyst work, or a bit more experience in operations, coordination or a related discipline looking to step into a growth area.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and a detail-oriented, analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the patience to work through bureaucratic processes and unhelpful contacts until issues are resolved.
• A proactive, ambitious individual who wants to learn, take ownership and grow - whether that's toward investment operations or broader strategic leadership.

The role is on-site 5 days a week in San Diego. Looking at a salary of $75,000-$100,000 base, plus a 15-20% bonus.
