A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Fund Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling secured and unsecured lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and other complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bilateral financings. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-level financial transactions within a collaborative and dynamic legal environment.
Oversee and manage fund finance transactions from initiation to completion.
Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, and related transaction materials.
Advise clients on various aspects of fund finance, including leverage finance and private credit transactions.
Conduct due diligence and structure financing arrangements to align with clients’ needs.
Collaborate with legal teams, financial institutions, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
Keep abreast of evolving laws and regulations affecting fund finance.
Assist in business development efforts by fostering client relationships and participating in industry events.
3 to 5 years of experience in fund finance and complex lending transactions.
Strong background in structured finance, secured and unsecured lending, and syndicated financing.
Ability to handle multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment with precision and efficiency.
Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in New York (or ability to obtain licensure in a timely manner).
Expertise in fund finance, leveraged finance, and private credit.
Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to provide strategic legal advice tailored to clients’ financial goals.
